Community Media was founded in Venice in 2010 by Darin Hunt, a lifelong Venice resident — and has grown from a handful of neighborhood newsletters to 122 communities across 21 counties, all designed, printed, and delivered by our own local team.
We're Floridians who were lucky enough to grow up in paradise, and our newsletters read like it — local names, local news, local businesses.
Design, writing help when editors want it, full-color printing on our own presses, and delivery to every home: it all happens in-house. Owning the whole production line is why we can promise every community a professional newsletter at zero cost — local advertisers fund it, and we work hard to make sure they're glad they did.
We print in-house, not through a broker. The people running the press are the same people who answer our phone.
A real office in Venice and real people on the phone — we live in and around the communities we publish for.
No invoice to your association, ever. Advertising covers it — that's been the model since 2010.
Boards, advertisers, residents — call during business hours and a person in Venice answers.
